Gothic Glam Makeup - Soft Vampire
Halloween is the perfect time to embrace your inner dark side, and what better way to do it than with stunning gothic glam makeup?
The Vampire look is all about capturing that ethereal, haunting beauty without the usual harshness of traditional vampire makeup.
Here’s how to achieve it:
Base
To get a flawless, pale complexion, use a foundation lighter than your usual color. You can add some white to enhance the pallor, but be sure to blend well for a natural look.
Here’ we’re using Ben Nye’s Vampira and Pale Vampire cream foundations. They’re a great way to get an even, dewy finish.
Eyes
Create a soft, smoky eye using reds, purples, and blacks. Apply a shimmery highlighter to the inner corners to brighten your eyes. Be sure to add a sharp winged eye to bring the drama to your look!
We used Ben Nye’s Naughty Berry, Night Club, and Moonlight pearl sheens. They’re a great consistency, spreading easily while still having a colorful staying power. Make sure to blend the colors together with a soft, fluffy brush (we love Ben Nye’s Bullet Brush). This is finished off with Ben Nye’s Precision Liquid Eyeliner: the thin brush gives amazing control to enhance the sharp wing.
Lips
Opt for a berry, red, or burgundy lipstick. Add some gloss on for an even more enticing look.
We paired a simple red lipstick with a light layer of black lipstick on top. We also added some of the red and black lipstick to the neck to make an obvious bite mark.
Finishing Touches
No vampire look is complete without fangs and fake blood. Add a long black wig and a frilly shirt to tie it all together. Optional: colored contacts!
