Does Chicago Costume sell colored contacts for Halloween?
In Chicago, Halloween or costume contact lenses must be ordered through a licensed eye doctor. Chicago Costume does not sell colored or Halloween style contact lenses.
Are you open all year round?
Yes, we are open all year round at our Lincoln Park and Portage Park stores, and we sell Santa Costumes, Easter Bunny Costumes, St Patrick's, Kentucky Derby and many other holiday costumes
Do we rent costumes?
Yes, Chicago Costume rents adult size costumes, like disco, Princess and Super Hero costumes, and Historical Costumes. Our rental costumes are ornate, theatrical quality, and different from retail costumes. If you are interested in renting a costume, contact us or learn more here.
Where do we ship to?
We ship out of Chicago, Illinois Monday-Friday until 3pm CST within the United States. If you would like to place an international order, please contact chicagocostume@gmail.com
Return Policy- All items purchased in store are considered Final Sale, and cannot be returned or exchanged. We offer dressing rooms and customer service to review any items and try on costumes to find the best fit before purchase. There is signage throughout both stores as a friendly reminder customers. Shipping & Order Pickup FAQs
When will my order ship?
We process and ship orders Monday through Friday. Please allow up to 24 hours for our team to locate, pull, and prepare your items. Orders ship out at approximately 3 PM Central Time on business days. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.
How can I estimate my delivery date?
Add your items to your shopping cart to view estimated shipping and delivery times. Please note that these are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.
Once your package leaves our warehouse, shipping timelines are managed by the carrier. Chicago Costume is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
What happens if an item in my order is unavailable?
Occasionally, an item may sell out before our inventory updates. If an item is unavailable or a substitution is needed, our team will contact you directly by email to discuss your options. Please keep an eye on your inbox after placing your order.
When will my in-store pickup order be ready?
Please allow up to 24 hours for our team to locate and prepare your in-store pickup order. You will receive an email notification when your order is ready. Please wait for your pickup confirmation before coming to the store.
How long has Chicago Costume been in business?
Chicago Costume has been selling and renting costumes since the 1970's. We are a family-owned business run by three generations of the Hickey-Panayotou family. The Lincoln Park shop has been open since 1983 on Fullerton and on Montrose Avenue since 2012.
Where can I buy Halloween costumes in Chicago?
Chicago Costume is open year round and sells costumes for adults and kids at 1120 West Fullerton Avenue in Lincoln Park just south of Wrigley Field and near DePaul University and 4727 West Montrose Avenue in Portage Park near the 90/94 expressway and the CTA Blue Line station.
Can my school or organization purchase items with our tax exempt status? Yes, we can setup tax exempt purchases. Contact us by email for more information on setting up an account.
